From USA Today and Amazon bestselling author D.L. Wood

Kate’s husband Erik left her a year ago, ending their marriage without warning for a trust-fund twenty-something and her global-hopping, luxurious lifestyle. Now Kate is spending one last Christmas at her family’s Smoky Mountains cabin before selling it to raise cash. But when nostalgia moves her to keep the place, things quickly turn sinister, suggesting all is not what it seems. Someone is watching her...stalking her...leaving disturbing messages...convincing Kate that something truly dark is at work. As the disturbing episodes ramp up, and Kate feels the danger closing in, will she uncover what's really going on before it’s too late?

How often do you want to hear from me?

In the last poll, you all overwhelmingly voted that you’d rather get the entire book rather than chapter by chapter, so I’ll hold off on posting Year of the Dog until I have more time to work on the next chapters.

I’ve been posting a newsletter twice each month this year because I was posting my Year of the Dog chapters in addition to my updates and book promos.

However, without Year of the Dog, and because I’ll be doing fewer promos, my newsletter will be shorter.

So I’d like to know:

How often do you want to get a newsletter from me?

One long newsletter a month

Two shorter newsletters a month

A short newsletter each week

Thanks for weighing in!

If you’ve read my Contemporary Christian Romance novel, Sushi for One?, you might enjoy this fun short story I wrote that takes place right after the book ends.

If you haven’t read Sushi for One?, no worries, you won’t be lost. This is a little vignette that happens at a wedding.

I wrote this story during my nightmarish years as a single woman at my relatives’ weddings. And yes, the story is based off of a true story (mine).

If the Villainess and Villain Met and Fell in Love (Light Novel), Vol. 1 by Harunadon

SOMETIMES FIRE AND ICE ARE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER. Brigitte Meidell belongs to a noble family, which means high expectations were placed upon her spirit contract. However, her bonded spirit turned out to be a weak no-name, and ever since, she has been a source of shame to her family. She thought her engagement to the prince would turn her life around, but when he publicly breaks off their relationship, she finds herself alone again. After her haughty, villainous behavior as the prince’s bride-to-be, no one shows her much sympathy―except for the duke’s son Yuri, who attends the same magic academy. Yuri is feared for his incredible abilities and icy personality, but with him on her side, her fortunes might have changed...

I read this book last month but forgot to post about it. I absolutely love this series! The heroine has such a deep backstory and a plausible reason for her previous behavior. She’s a true underdog but she’s struggling and trying to change her fate. And I love how there’s some mystery about her contracted spirit.

Romans 15:13

Dear Lord,

Thank you that you are the God of hope. Thank you that I can trust in you and hope for something better because you are in control of everything around me. Help me to be filled with your joy as I focus on you to sustain me in the midst of trials. Let your power flow into me to make me strong in my faith and in my hope in you.

Amen

Whats up with Camy

Thank you so much for praying for my health and my IBS! I have been feeling much better lately, although not entirely symptom-free. But the pain and nausea only hits for about 30 minutes at random times during the day, so it’s completely manageable. When I feel uncomfortable, I just take some medicine and rest for an hour, and then I can get back to work.

At the moment, I’m working on my Christian historical romantic suspense novel (book 7 in my Lady Wynwood’s Spies series) and I’ll also be working on the next chapters in Year of the Dog.

I also started plotting the first book in my Warubozu Spa Chronicles and will hopefully get that written later this year.

I tend to knit while I’m working at my computer, because it helps me to think. At the moment, I’m working on a housecoat to keep me warm in the winter. Are you knitting anything today?

Please continue to pray for my health and my chronic IBS!

If you’d like me to pray for you, reply to this email or fill out my Prayer Request form or friend me on YouVersion.

That’s it for this newsletter! Happy reading!

Lady Wynwood’s Spies volumes 2, 4, and 6 on sale on Camy’s website With my Kickstarter coming up, I need to temporarily unenroll all my Lady Wynwood’s Spies books from KU in order to offer them in the Kickstarter. The problem is that the end of each book’s 90-day cycle is scattered over a two month period, just because of the unorganized way I picked a release date for each of them. :P So, to roughly correspond with the dates they got out of KU, three of the Lady Wynwood’s Spies books are on...
