Sweet and Clean Romance Sale

Isn’t that the cutest cover? The website says it’s 99 cents, but it’s actually $1.99. That’s still a really good deal!

A Gifted Earl Regency Romance by Arietta Richmond

Mr Morgan Follett, the son of a second son of an Earl, went into the military because that is what was expected of him. He soon discovered that he was not suited to it, and so sought other opportunities. Years later, settled into a happy life far from society, he acts to help an injured girl. A girl he expects to never meet again.

Lady Venetia Chater is beautiful and talented, but she is also rash and impetuous. When that rashness leads her to injury and possible death, it is only the assistance of a man whose name she doesn't even know, which saves her - but she is left with a scar, nonetheless. She never expects to see the man again.

Yet, despite all expectations, in London for the Autumn they meet again - each vastly changed. He has a new status, which he must now adapt to, and she faces social rejection because she is scarred. Each holds secrets and doubts, unsure if the other is really the person they first met in such different circumstances. They must each navigate the treacherous waters of their new situations, despite the disapprobation of society, and the actions of those who seek to directly harm Venetia.

As Christmas approaches and hope for the future seems lost, can they find the courage to share their secrets?

Can they find their way safely through it all and claim their happy ending?

Or did one rash moment doom Venetia to a loveless life as a spinster?

Will Christmas bring joy, or misery?

Lady Wynwood’s Spies vol. 1 free until 4/27

At the last minute, I applied for a Book Cave promo and got it! So Lady Wynwood’s Spies, volume 1: Archer is free until April 27. Be sure to get it before the deadline!

Save the Date

With my Kickstarter coming up, I need to temporarily unenroll all my Lady Wynwood’s Spies books from Kindle Unlimited in order to offer them in the Kickstarter.

The problem is that the end of each book’s 90-day cycle is scattered over a two month period, just because of the unorganized way I picked a release date for each of them. :P

I decided to do two flash sales to roughly correspond with the dates they’ll be getting out of KU:

5/9 - 5/11: Flash sale of books 2, 4, and 6

6/20 - 6/22: Flash sale of books 3 and 5.

Be sure to open my emails so you don’t miss out. The books will be available on both my website and on Amazon.

Patreon postponed, but launched???

Why is Camy so weird? Well, that is the million-dollar question …

Because of my crazy idea to take my books temporarily out of KU and put them on sale on my website, I decided to postpone the launch of my Patreon for a week.

It’ll (hopefully) start on May 1st instead, which actually appeals to me better since I like starting the month with something fresh and new!

However, I went ahead and published my Patreon, so it’s live! But there are no tiers for people to subscribe to yet.

Why did I launch an empty Patreon? Because you can join my page for free (without subscribing), and I have some things posted there that free members can read.

So I invite you to join my page and poke around at the free reads, and when the tiers go live in a week, I hope some of you will subscribe.

Journal or no journal?

You can look forward to the Kickstarter launching in June or July for a Special Edition hardcover of book 1 and the early release of book 7! There are so many lovely things that’ll be included to make a beautiful Special Edition hardcover for the campaign.

I’m also coming up with swag for Book Boxes for the higher tiers, but it’s hard to figure out what to include. I was thinking of including a special handmade journal, but what do you think?

Do you like blank journals?

I love journals!

They’re only okay.

Be sure to follow my Kickstarter so you’ll be notified when it launches!

What’s up with Camy

My IBS felt a bit better right after I sent my last newsletter, and I managed to enjoy my peach jelly dessert as my reward for finishing Sushi and Suspicions. I posted a picture in my Camy Tang newsletter last week.

But I didn’t get a lot written because I had a huge problem to solve in the plot of my book. Yes, it had a hole large enough for a train to barrel through.

But I finally fixed the plot hole and got started again on writing in book 7.

Among the things I changed were some of the characters’ names. In fixing the plot hole, I realized I had three women whose names started with D and ended with A, so I changed two of them so they didn’t sound too alike. Also, Mr. Clay is now Mr. Thornwell.

Why did I do that? Because I kept forgetting to call him Mr. Clay when writing it, and finally I gave up. Something in my brain just didn’t want to call him Mr. Clay.

Here’s a little snippet of what I wrote:

Lena entered the ballroom unnoticed, standing against the wall to watch the couples weaving in and out. This was her usual place, detached from the guests enjoying themselves. It was an appropriate place for a paid companion.

She had been “Lena Penrose” for so many years that she didn’t feel as though she belonged amidst the gaiety of the party, despite the fact that they were part of her true social class. Even after her birthday, when everything would change, would she ever truly fit in anywhere?

Since she was not dancing, she was the first to notice some late arrivals who entered just as the set concluded, two young men and a young woman. The taller of the two men glanced briefly at her.

At this distance, all she could see was that his eyes were dark. He was only perhaps three inches taller than Lena, with a strong nose and chin. His thick brown hair had darker roots, and it waved up from his forehead instead of laying flat.

He did not stare at her—she wondered if he even saw her, if he were simply gazing about the room in general. She did not recognize him, and yet something deep inside of her stirred, and she thought she smelled the faintest whiff of the sea.

And then the feeling was gone, leaving her with a strange, gentle sense of loss.

Please pray my IBS gets better so I can get more writing done!

If you’d like me to pray for you, reply to this email or fill out my Prayer Request form or friend me on YouVersion.

That’s it for this newsletter! Happy reading!
